Our latest podcast from Radio Eureka features a Q&A with Eureka Solutions’ CRM Commercial Manager, Alan Miles. In the podcast Alan discusses the benefits of Sage CRM, along with the type of companies that can use the solution. A summary of the podcast is below:

  • The variety of companies that can utilise CRM solutions like Sage CRM is discussed and this can vary greatly depending on the required functionality
  • Sage CRM can be used by companies that do not already use Sage solutions for their accounts. Eureka Solutions have clients that don’t use any other Sage solution other than Sage CRM
  • Sage CRM can also be developed to integrate with other packages other than Sage
  • There are 4 main areas of Sage CRM. These are:
    • Contact management – a central database to store company and contact information
    • Sales – manages the sales pipleline from initial enquiry to close of the deal
    • Customer service – handles customer service issues such as complaints and support
    • Marketing – allows the ability to carry out integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that can include telemarketing, email marketing and social media amongst other activities, and analyse the results
  • Not every organisation is taking advantage of the capabilities that implementing CRM solutions can bring. Alan believes that this may be down to a lack of understanding about the benefits of the solution or how CRM can help with certain processes within the business. Many organisations that Eureka Solutions have assisted have sought our services as they have recognised a need to track all customer interaction in one system, as opposed to several systems throughout the organisation

Eureka Solutions are out to tackle your reporting problems

With years of implementing and supporting business systems, we are frequently asked “How do I get a report which tells me…?”. We understand how vital it is for you to gain access and make sense of the data held within your systems and know it’s not always easy.

As a result we have started running a series of free reporting workshops and the first one took place on 24th May 2012. The workshops are designed to make attendees aware of all the options available to them from standard Sage reports and Excel through to Power Pivot and QlikView’s Business Intelligence platform.

The workshops have been well received and our latest Radio Eureka podcast features Eureka Solutions’ BI Account Manager Carolyn Clark outlining why we’re running these workshops, followed by the views of some attendees from the first session.

In our second podcast from RadioEureka, our Product Development Manager David Lindores talks about the development area of our business. A summary of what David discusses is below:

  • What’s been happening at Eureka with our latest projects and modules
    • Moving towards web-based products with the introduction of Web PO for Sage 200, which allows users that don’t have access to Sage 200 to enter purchase orders via a website
    • Web SO coming soon
  • That customer focused aspect to our development
    • Around 90% of our products have come from customer requests
  • The introduction of the Sage accredited products
    • David believes this will see an increased demand for our addons

Radio Eureka Launches

Eureka Solutions has launched Radio Eureka which over the coming weeks will feature various podcasts on all things Eureka.  Radio Eureka will keep listeners up to date with the latest news and views from our staff, partners and customers.  First up is Eureka Solutions’ Business Intelligence expert, Carolyn Clark, who introduces QlikTech’s Business Intelligence tool, QlikView.

A summary of the podcast is outlined below:

  • QlikView can work with any source of data including bespoke systems and Excel spreadsheets
  • Our customers are “overawed” by how simple QlikView is to use is with intuitive “point and click” dashboards meaning users don’t need to rely on IT to run reports.
  • QlikView as a new kind of BI tool. Users don’t have to use it in a “hierarchical” way, they can start anywhere within their data and discover answers to things they would never have thought to ask.
  • Business Intelligence is applicable to all sizes of companies, not just large enterprises.
