Sage User Network Event 2012

On the 16th and 17th of October the Eureka team will be attending the Sage User Network Event in Warwick, Coventry.

The Sage User Network is an independent user group managed and run by end users and Business Partners to address the issues relating to Sage 200, Line 500, Sage ERP 1000 and Sage ERP X3. The Network has around 300 members worldwide and was established in 1989.

We are highly regarded as a leading  Sage Developer with great technical expertise and  will be presenting our wide range of addons for Sage 200  and our business intelligence product QlikView, which both help to enhance existing Sage 200 functionality, as well as illustrating those that offer new functionality

Our presentation titled – Sage 200: How Eureka Solutions can make it work for your business, will be presented by our Account Manager Tony Davis-Coyle and will commence on Tuesday 16th October at 10.30am in Meeting Room 3. Tony will be presenting our most popular Sage 200 addons, created for and by requests from our Sage 200 end users. This brief overview of our addons for Sage 200 will cover several of our most popular and best selling addons for example Data Exchange for Sage 200, Sales Order Plus for Sage 200, Web PO and Web SO for Sage 200 , as well as QlikView.

Featured Addon: Cross-Sales for Sage 200 Suite

Sage-200-Sales-Order-Plus-logoCross-Sales for the Sage 200 Suite is an addon within our Sage 200 Sales Order Plus module that allows related products to be associated with each other, and alert the user of this when entering an order. For example, a torch requires a certain battery to work, so these two products could be linked. The user would then get a notification, stating the battery type and quantity that are required for the torch to work.

Maximise Cross-Selling Opportunities

The benefit of this addon is that your sales executives can maximise cross-selling, whether it be via telesales or over the counter. An added benefit is that the customer experience can be improved. For example, by using the Cross Sales addon the customer would not buy the torch and later discover that they have the wrong batteries for the product. The sales executive would be able to inform them of this at the time of purchase.

Easy to Set Up

A setting screen allows preferences and linked products to be easily set up. The administrator can decide if they want the notification to launch when a user adds a line or when they leave the quantity box.

Linked products can be set up against each stock item, along with the required quantities of each, e.g. a torch requires four AA batteries.

Sage 200 Bespoke – SO Plus Amendments

A client required additional functionality to be added to our Sage 200 Sales Order Plus module to meet their specific requirements for speed of order entry, as well as being able to store additional information against Sales Orders.

Sage 200 Sales Order Plus is an additional module developed by Eureka Solutions which extends standard Sage 200 functionality to make order entry within as fast as possible.

Requirements

  • The client wanted to be able to store their Delivery Run on Sales Orders, using one of the Analysis Codes. On each Sales Order Line they also needed to store the Quantity of Packs or Boxes, again using an Analysis Code.
  • Upon entering an order the customer requested some amendments to the invoicing routine, to allow them to filter to the Sales Order depending on the Delivery Run field.
  • Upon printing it was requested that 2 invoices be automatically be printed per Sales Order.

Development was subsequently carried out on our Sales Order Plus module to create the functionality specified by the client.

Solution

Sales Order Amendments:
On the Sales Order forms a new field was added to allow the users to specify the “Delivery Run”.  This is stored in a Sales Order Analysis Code field.  The field was added to the top right of the screen underneath customer order number.

On the Sales Order Plus Rapid Entry Grid, a new column was added next to the Quantity column which allows the users to enter the Quantity of Packs/Boxes.

Print Invoices by Vehicle:
On the Print Invoices screen a radio button and lookup box was added to allow the users to print invoices depending on the Delivery Run.

This means that when the user selects a Delivery Run all of the unprinted invoices for all Sales Orders in this Delivery Run will be displayed. Upon printing the invoices an amendment was made to the process to print 2 copies.
