Integrate eBay with Sage 200!

New Data Exchange eBay Plugin for Sage 200


The new eBay plugin for Data Exchange adds a new import which retrieves orders from eBay and imports them as a sales order into Sage 200.

The eBay sales order import connects to your eBay account and imports completed orders into Sage 200. A user token must be entered to enable Data Exchange to connect to the selected eBay account. The production token is used for importing orders from the live eBay account and the Sandbox token is used for testing purposes within an eBay Sandbox account.

The import orders date selector specifies the last date orders should be imported from and automatically updates this to the current date every time the import runs. Each order imported into Sage will then have the eBay order ID stored against it and will not be exported from eBay again.

An export location must be specified for the Sales order import file which is created by this plugin. If this is the same as the standard sales order import location, then the file will be picked up automatically and imported directly into Sage 200. Alternatively, the created sales order files can be exported to a separate location to allow amendments to be made before being imported.

Line 100 End of Life – 31st March 2014

CRM_iconFrom the 31st March 2014, Line 100 will reach its end of life.

What does end of life mean for the product?
Line 100 will no longer be technically supported and users will no longer be able to add users or modules to their system.Users will still be able to use the software; however as previously communicated Sage are no longer able to provide software updates related to line 100. This means there is no guarantee that Line 100 is legislatively compliant.

Whats does this mean for you?
Line 100 users who are on version 7.0 or below will still be able to use their software, however users on version 7.1 or higher will be required to purchase an enable string on an annual basis .

Whats the next step?
We would strongly recommend upgrading your system to the Sage 200 Suite which is the natural upgrade path from Line 100. Eureka Solutions also offer a selection of other options that may be more suitable for your businesses.

New Development: Calibration Certificate Notice

One of our clients required calibration certificates to be printed at the point of sale in Sage 200. Currently they use our Warranties, Service and repair module but have requested some amendments to be made to meet their full requirements.

In order to meet this request the Development team created a certificate database within Sage 200 which would be held at the Repair Asset level. An additional tab was added to each asset called ‘Certificates’, which allowed for the certificates to be viewed and printed, per item basis. Multiple certificate details can be held against each asset in Sage 200 such as calibration type, alarm settings, traceable national standards and other information.

At the sale of an item in Sage 200 an additional tick box was added against the standard stock item line which, when ticked, stated the ‘Calibration settings required’. As the asset was not created in Sage 200 until goods were despatched it cannot be printed at order entry. If ticked the user on despatch was prompted for the calibration details which in turn were added to the asset.

The Calibration Certificate contains header and footer information as fields, described below:

Header Information:

  • Customer
  • Stock Code
  • Stock Description
  • Serial Number
  • Certificate Number

Footer Information:

  • Engineer name – taken from Repairs user
  • Calibration date
  • Calibration due date – 6-12 months from due date

Renewal stages of calibrations are stored within the service contracts, to which next calibrations are automatically calculated on a per month basis. A form was created which lists all ‘due to expire’ calibrations. Users were then able to automatically create a repair which emailed the end users with a PDF of the previous calibration certificate. A calibration set on the repair will automatically be stored against the asset so they can be printed at a later date.

Web PO New Functionality

Web Purchase Orders for Sage 200
Since the launch of Web Purchase Orders for Sage 200, we have been delighted with all the feedback we have been receiving from the business partner channel. From your feedback, we have added additional functionality to enhance the product and make it work better for businesses:

 

• Project Accounting

Web PO now links with project accounting in Sage 200, allowing the user to assign purchase order lines to specific projects.

 

• Global Project Codes

Automatically assign a global project code to every line on a purchase order. Manually override the global code for specific lines that aren’t associated to that particular project.

 

• User Permissions

Administrator can assign specific permissions to other Web PO users, restricting access to certain purchase orders, ability to enable/disable who can print purchase orders, and control access to amend purchase order date.

 

• Additional Stock and Supplier information

We have now extended the stock and supplier tabs to now include information such as: stock supplier list, supplier contact details and supplier analysis codes.

Data Exchange for Sage 200

One of our most popular addons, Data Exchange for Sage 200 has seen some new functionality added:

 

• Batch Serial Numbered Items

Import/Export stock with batch serial number for goods received, write off stock, add stock, stock issues, sales orders, and stock transfer.

 

• New Import Capability

Data Exchange now has the ability to import stock issues, sales orders and stock transfers.

 

• Export Price Book

Allows the user to export information such as: Product discounts, stock item discounts, customer discounts, order value discounts and price bands.

 

• Disable Automatic spooling

Ability to disable automatic spooling when sales orders are imported, preventing a shortage of space on your spool file.
