Preventing Business Disruptions with The Cloud

As you may be aware, due to a large amount of snowfall, the decision was made to send members of our staff home from our East Kilbride office, just outside Glasgow. For many businesses, this would mean major disruptions, upset customers, a loss of trade and wasted time and money. However, for Eureka Solutions, this was not the case.

“As providers of Cloud Based Business systems we ensure that our business operates in the cloud.”

As providers of Cloud Based Business systems we ensure that our business operates in the cloud. This means, that while there have been major disruptions to the roads and travel networks surrounding our offices, our 50+ staff working from there have been able to provide our same high standard of service by working from remote locations.

One area within the business which is vital to keep running as smoothly as possible is our support service. Our customers are dependent on us to ensure their systems are operating correctly and they can receive the support they need, when they need it. In spite the situation we have been facing, our cloud based telephone systems meant our support team could take calls, and log these in NetSuite.

NetSuite is also used for our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and for our Financials, meaning all this is not only cloud based and accessible from anywhere in the world via a web browser, but they are integrated so everything can be viewed in one place. Staff can continue to access the data in our system without requiring access to a server.

Our online file storage system, Box, operates within the cloud and ensures that any work in progress can be saved and worked on from any device – we are not limited because the files are not stored on isolated devices.

At Eureka Solutions we often stress the importance and significance that Cloud Computing can have on a modern businesses, however, situations like this help demonstrate the value of those benefits. If you’ve ever experienced troubles that you feel could have been avoided by having a Cloud system in place, and would like to discuss what options are available to help prevent any future disruptions to your business, please get in touch with our team on 01355 581 960.
