Sage 200 2011 is now available and Sage have taken on board feedback from business partners and end users and incorporated lots of new features in the new release, which support key market trends. The 2011 release builds on the key themes of:
Accessibility
Market research shows that businesses want quick, easy access to business critical information anywhere and anytime, to enable them to make smarter, faster decisions. The new release builds on v2010 of Sage 200 and now enables customer to access information on the move from their Blackberry or iPhone.
Information Management
Building on the 2010 version, Sage 200 2011 continues to improve the information management capabilities of the suite with the extension of Business Intelligence to include the Sage 200 Project Accounting module. This means users will be able to access information to determine projects costs, revenues and profitability, compare budgets against actual and better analyse resource utilisation, providing them with the additional insight into key business metrics to improve efficiency.
Improved Usability
Sage is determined to provide users with a system that is intuitive and easy to use. To that end a key focus for this release was on improving usability particularly for the Sage 200 Web, Time and Expenses module. This has been carried out through usability tests, including candidates who had never used the system before.
E-marketing for Sage 200 CRM
The Sage 200 Suite v2011 will incorporate the new and improved version of Sage CRM v7.1, which includes significant enhancements to the marketing functionality and reporting as well as providing email marketing as an out-of-the-box solution. E-marketing for Sage 200 CRM provides customers with a proven application from one of the market leaders, Swiftpage, which will offer the ability to effectively deliver, track and analyse email marketing campaigns through the Sage 200 CRM interface for improved sales conversion.
Sage 200 Mobile updated to include iPhone
The mobile workforce is changing the face of business and Sage 200 enables businesses to access vital information, anywhere, anytime. The 2010 version allowed data to be accessible to view and search using Blackberry. Sage have extended this service for the 2011 release to include iPhone, enabling companies to mobilise their workforce and communicate effectively and quickly on the go.
Improved Web, Time & Expenses Module
The current Sage 200 Web, Time & Expenses module has been completely remodelled to provide significant enhancements for the 2011 release and will deliver the first stages of web client functionality in Sage 200. This browser-based solution will mean that users can submit, amend, print and authorise or reject time or expenses claims anywhere, anytime – they don’t even need to be in the office. This will enable users to improve business efficiency through better management and visibility of expenses and timesheets and also allows prompt updates on projects.
