"After four years of rapid growth in the domestic and international food safety markets, Sage 50 had taken us as far as we could go with the accounting system. Time was taken to identify a shortlist of products that could cope with our levels of transactions, remove duplication of work, increase productivity of existing staff (as opposed to employing more) and provide more accurate and timely information to everyone in the company from the accounts department to sales teams, purchasing, despatch and management.
Eureka Solutions introduced us to Sage 200 and I instantly became convinced of the benefit of investing in the software. From years of using Sage 50 and having an accounts team that knew it inside out, there was a strong desire to install a software system that had some familiarity. Sage 200 has a similar user interface which was to a large degree, comforting for the accounts team during training.
The next step was to sign up Eureka as our business partner and after a visit to an existing customer, I enlisted Eureka to plan and setup Sage 200, customise it to our specific needs and business practices and to ‘hold our hands’ during the transition stages.
Over the years, various systems had been developed to process data and store information, but our big problem was the systems didn’t communicate with each other meaning information was in a variety of places and processes were being duplicated. Eureka helped us pull all the disparate parts of the business into one system and after 8 months of using the system, it is hard to imagine being without it now. It was a steep learning curve for everyone using the system but having Eureka on-hand and a support line available, they minimised the disruption and ensured our business never stopped operating. We went from a 4 user Sage 50 system to a 30 user Sage 200 system in a matter of months.
Eureka was selected over other business partners as they had the skills to tweak and develop the software which ensured I never heard the statement “the software won’t do that”. Substantial work was carried out to ensure the software matched our processes rather than our processes being forced to change. We made good use of Eureka’s development team which came up with easy solutions to irritating repetitive tasks which we had to carry out. We also took full advantage of various Eureka addons, which to be honest I thought was a sales pitch when I was first introduced to them. However after seeing them in use, I couldn’t get them installed quick enough. Sage 200 is a good system but a few addons make it that little bit better.
The system is now fully running but I still have plans for further involvement from Eureka to assist with even better reporting, use of business intelligence and further development work to ensure we stay ahead of the game.
I would without reservation, recommend Eureka Solutions to anyone upgrading or installing Sage 200, particularly if you want the flexibility of customising the software while keeping it user friendly. They kept me informed of progress through out, dealt with any issues we had and always delivered."
