TRANSCRIPT BELOW

Welcome to the latest instalment of your Eureka Moment. Today we’re going to show you how to quickly set up an RSS news feed on your NetSuite dashboard.

The first thing you want to do is go to Google News to get a search of what you want to find.

For this example, I’m going to put in Business UK, whatever you put in here is what’s going to show up on your dashboard.

if you scroll to the bottom of the page you’ll find a button in the footer for RSS, click on that button and it will give you the link in your search bar for your selected RSS feed, now copy that link.

Now go to NetSuite and on your main dashboard, please click on personalize. If you scroll to the right one of the options is RSS Atom Feed, if you drag it you can specify where on your dashboard you want it to appear.

You then go to the top right of your newsfeed portlet and choose setup, from there change the source to custom which is at the top and paste in the URL. Next, specify how many links you want to appear at any one time, the standard is ten, and whether you want to show details or just headlines, for this example we’ll select show details and hit save.

Then, in your portlet, choose the refresh button and you’ll get Google News directly on your NetSuite dashboard. If you want to update it at any point simply push the refresh button to get the latest news.

Thank you for your time and listening to this instalment of your Eureka Moment.
